After the huge success of last year’s inaugural event, the St Martin Tourist Office is organising the second edition of its gastronomy festival on November 11 and 22.
A host of culinary talent from all over the world, as well as foodies who want to embark on a gourmet journey, are expected to attend Le Festival de la Gastronomie. This year, the Tourist Office will once again showcase the island’s culinary diversity and celebrate the exceptional heritage for which the destination is well known.
Events will include cooking workshops for people of all ages, led by local and international chefs, a mixology competition, a BBQ competition, and from November 18-20, a gourmet village open to visitors looking to discover local products.
In addition, there will be tasting menus centred around this year’s chosen ingredient: the plantain, in the many restaurants participating in the competition for “Best Table”.
The St Martin Tourist Office has invited a line-up of talented chefs from St Martin and beyond to truly spice up the event.
The first edition piqued the interest of Travel + Leisure, Forbes, Eater and several other publications including high profile influencers. Journalists and influencers from the US, South America, Canada and Europe will be in attendance at this year’s festival, which is shaping up to be an essential event for anyone who would like to discover this authentic and lively island.
