Royal Caribbean Cruises’ 2,000-passenger MV Rhapsody of the Seas is scheduled to make 12 calls to Dominica for the 2022/2023 cruise season. It is one of six ships that made inaugural calls to the island over the past two months.
Rhapsody of the Seas is one of the latest additions to the fleet of luxury liners owned by the Royal Caribbean International Cruise Line. Along with Rhapsody, the MV Silver Moon of Silver Sea Cruises made its inaugural call to Dominica on December 2.
Building on the phenomenal success of Silver Muse, Silver Moon mirrors her sister ship and establishes a new era of Silversea. At 40,700 gross tonnes and with a capacity to accommodate 596 passengers on board, Silver Moon maintains the small-ship intimacy and spacious all-suite accommodation which are the hallmarks of the Silversea experience. This is the ship’s only call for the 2022/2023 cruise season.
With the peak of the 2022/2023 cruise season approaching, Dominica is expected to welcome 51 cruise calls in the month of December. This signals a productive and profitable season for tourism and hospitality stakeholders who are heavily reliant on cruise sector activity.
