AC Hotel Kingston is on a mission to take guests outdoors!
“We’re upgrading our outside pool deck so we will be able to facilitate more guests enjoying the outside ambience, we’ll be doing more events outside as well,” says General Manager Koen Hietbrink. “This is in addition to our events space. We also want to welcome any of our leisure guests who are willing to come enjoy the outside air and enjoy the vibes, the food.”
The eagerly-anticipated project is in the design and planning stages. For now, the Marriott-branded property maintains its focus on welcoming business guests and hosting spectacular weddings. “We have our rooftop AC Garden which we use for weddings and small intimate events,” Hietbrink tells LetsTravelCaribbean.com.
There is also the spectacular AC Lounge whose popularity with those who matter is undisputed. Dubbed “Kingston’s favourite Lounge” it’s a communal space of creativity and collaboration by day and a buzz of social activity by night.
“We have our AC Lyme, we have our Sunday brunch; so there’s a lot of stuff that we put in the market just to ensure that there’s something for everyone here, with a recognisable lifestyle ambience, second to none service, and the very best food,” adds Hietbrink.
With so much to offer it comes as no surprise that the two-year-old AC Hotel Kingston keeps winning awards. In 2020 it was named the Caribbean’s Leading New Hotel by the World Travel Awards and this year it copped Trip Advisor Travelers’ Choice Award.
“The last year-and-a half has been like no year has been before for the hospitality industry.
