The Montserrat Tourism Authority has released the first edition of the Community Environmental Stewardship Initiative (CESI) Magazine, a vibrant new platform championing local voices and environmental action.
Described as a call to action CESI Magazine brings together residents, community leaders, and policymakers to protect Montserrat’s breath-taking landscapes and coastal ecosystems. It is an attempt to, through collective stewardship, secure a sustainable future for the island, its people, and the tourism industry that depends on the health of the environment.

“This launch marks a pivotal moment in our commitment to sustainability,” said Nicole Fagan, Product Development Officer at the Montserrat Tourism Authority. “Montserrat’s greatest asset is its people, and CESI empowers our communities to lead the charge in creating a vibrant and resilient island.”
CESI Magazine is a youth-led monthly publication spotlighting the next generation of environmental advocates. Young contributors share their experiences, ideas, and projects aimed at conserving natural resources and encouraging eco-conscious practices across Montserrat.
“This magazine reflects the Montserrat Tourism Authority’s dedication to elevating local voices and promoting meaningful dialogue around environmental stewardship,” noted Rosetta West-Gerald, Chief Executive Officer. “It serves as a platform to celebrate community contributions and inspire real change.”
