Antigua and Barbuda rolls out new protocols

by Sep 21, 2021Pulse

As of October 1, all visitors over 18 years old flying into Antigua and Barbuda must show proof of at least one dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine. In addition travellers, except for children under five, must also have a PCR test within four days of their arrival.

There are more than 435 certified accommodations available on both Antigua and Barbuda to fully vaccinated travellers who present verifiable documentation of their vaccination and/or test. A list of Covid-19 certified accommodations available to partially vaccinated travellers can be found on the visitantiguabarbuda.com website.

Additional measures set to take effect on October 1 include mandatory vaccinations of all public sector and government workers. In addition to government workers, the mandate applies to medical staff, teachers and eligible students, police and defence force members, bus and taxi drivers, caregivers and staff workers at elderly care facilities, cruise-pier vendors and merchants, service providers and staff operating at the ports of entry.

As of now, this mandate does not apply to private sector workers.
