The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) is saying thanks to travel specialists around the world who have been instrumental in selling Brand Jamaica since the reopening of the country’s tourism sector last June.
“I’d like to give a special thanks to our wonderful Jamaican travel agent and tour operator partners worldwide,” said Tourism Director Donovan White. “Our global sales teams work closely with these partners through efforts such as our Jamaica One Love Programme, which comes at no cost and provides travel advisors with extensive knowledge and educational tools to inform their clients about the incredible opportunities on our beautiful island.”
He was speaking during the recent Caribbean Tourism Organization’s press briefing.
Travel specialists who complete the Jamaica Travel Specialist One Love Rewards Programme will benefit from a wide range of discounts as they go on to sell Brand Jamaica to their clients across the globe.
“Those who become Jamaica travel specialists can earn points to spend on the One Love online store upon graduation from the programme, as well as each time they sell [Brand] Jamaica,” White added. “Jamaica travel specialists traveling to the island also receive discounts on lodging, among other perks including airport VIP services.”
He shared that, with the JTB’s recently re-launched 11 members Travel Specialist Advisory Committee, Jamaica travel specialists will continue to benefit from training sessions and a host of other opportunities.
The Travel Specialist Advisory Committee will provide the JTB with advice on the way forward for the Jamaica Travel Specialist One Love Rewards Programme to ensure future growth. This will include developing niche market training strategy, revamping/updating the general training course to continuously increase knowledge of Jamaica’s tourism product as well as offering incentives to members.
